About the Event

Come together in support of addiction recovery at this year’s McAlister Institute Annual 5K Walk for Sobriety on Saturday, September 5, 2026 from 8 to 11 a.m. Taking place at the Naval Training Center Park at Liberty Station, the proceeds from Walk for Sobriety will go directly to those in recovery at the McAlister Institute, a nonprofit providing care for prevention and addiction treatment.

This purposeful event was made to unite survivors of addiction and community members to bring awareness to a battle that was never meant to be fought alone. The morning will include several events for participants of all ages to enjoy from a kids’ zone with arts and crafts, a silent auction, raffle prizes, and games. To register for the Walk for Sobriety celebration, please visit the McAlister Institute website. Tickets are $35 for general admission and $5 for children 12 and under.
