See the surfboards and read the stories of how Hawaiian Royalty introduced surfing around the world in the 1880s in the exhibit "Surfriding: Hawaiian Royalty's Gift to the World." This exhibit presents the seminal period of surfing's development and captures the essence of a moment in cross-cultural exchange. The world has now almost forgotten these fascinating Hawaiian personalities and their insistence of surfing even far away from Hawaii.
