About the Event
Join Pride Pickleball @prideoutpickleball for our next Social & Open Play on October 24 from 6 to 9 p.m. at Barnes Tennis Center, with pickleball, costumes, giveaways, local vendors, and plenty of opportunities to meet some new friends.
We are bringing together LGBTQ+ folks from across San Diego for an evening of pickleball, community, drinks, and seriously good vibes.
Whether you're picking up a paddle for the first time or you practically live on the court, there's a spot for you! We'll have designated courts for each skill level, so bring your paddle, grab some friends, and come ready to play.
Two drink tickets are included with every entry, with both alcoholic and non-alcoholic options available. This event is strictly 21+.
Come dressed to impress! We're celebrating spooky season with a Halloween costume contest and prizes up for grabs.

Our Mission: Creating an inclusive, welcoming, and social space where members of the LGBTQ+ community can connect through pickleball. We believe recreation has a unique ability to bring people together, build friendships, and create a sense of community. By welcoming players of every experience level and making our events fun and approachable, we aim to lower the barriers to trying pickleball while fostering an environment where everyone feels comfortable participating, connecting, and being themselves.

The Barnes Tennis Center is owned and operated by Youth Tennis San Diego. It was built in 1995 and completed in 1997. This 4.5 million dollar facility was made possible with generous public and private donations. The Center is named after our lead donor family - the "George E. Barnes Family Junior Tennis Center." The Center is dedicated to the youth of San Diego. Children 18 and under have court priority over adults with advanced reservations! The capital campaign was spearheaded by Dr. Homer Peabody, Jr.. Youth Tennis San Diego gratefully acknowledges Dr. Peabody's tremendous contribution to make our dream a reality.
