Hispanic Heritage Month Celebration Otay Ranch Town Center

The monthlong Hispanic Heritage Month observation will kick off with Otay Ranch Town Center's annual Celebration and Family Festival on Tuesday, September 15 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Located in the heart of the eastern portion of Chula Vista, this community retail and dining destination is proud to once again host this celebration filled with live music, cultural performances and free fun for the whole family celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month which runs September 15 to October 15.

"Our annual Hispanic Heritage Month Celebration is a much-loved event for people to come together and honor the traditions and culture of our Hispanic community," said Otay Ranch Town Center General Manager Tim Kilcourse. "We pair the event with our weekly Farmers Market which features a large number of Hispanic and Latin themed businesses and food vendors, making it a fantastic family afternoon," he added.

The event will feature music, meet and greet opportunities with themed characters, sweet treats and giveaways, a face painter and kids' activities tied to Hispanic Heritage Month.

First added in 2024, this year's event brings back "Salsa Under the Stars," a pop-up Salsa dance celebration and musical performance that will run from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m., overlapping with many of the event elements, with guests having many activities to choose from. Hosted by the Manny Cepeda Orchestra quartet, this free program encourages anyone interested in getting their salsa on with some basic instruction and no partner needed, along with fantastic live music to get your feet moving!
